We take the protection of your personal data seriously. In this data protection declaration, we would like to inform you in detail about which data we collect from the user of our website, process and use for which purposes.

1. Who is responsible for the protection of your data?

The notary is responsible for the lawful collection, processing and use of your data.

2. Which data do we collect and for what purposes?

2.1 Usage data 

When you visit our website, our servers automatically store various data. This includes

• date and time of the request,
• name of the requested file,
• page from which the file was requested,
• the type and version of browser used,
• the operating system used,
• access status (file transferred, file not found, etc.),
• complete IP address of the requesting computer,
• if applicable, the link that brought you to the page,
• amount of data transferred.

We use these usage data to be able to make our website accessible to you, to recognise and fix any technical problems that may occur and to prevent and, if necessary, track misuse of our offer. In addition, we make use of the usage data in anonymised form, i.e. without the possibility of identifying you as a user, for statistical purposes and to improve our website.

2.2 Legal basis

The legal basis for the processing of your data is art. 6 sec. 1 lit. b), c), e) and f) of the General Data Protection Regulation (DS-GVO) in conjunction with art. 4 of the Bavarian Data Protection Act (BayDSG) and §§ 3 et seq. of Rhineland-Palatinate State Data Protection Act (LDSG).

2.3 Data that you transmit to us

All personal data that you transmit to us will be used exclusively to process your enquiries.

2.3.1 E-mail/fax/calls

If you get in touch with us by sending an e-mail or a fax, the following personal data will be processed:

∙ basic data (including title, first and last name)
∙ contact data (e-mail address/fax number, address/telephone number, if applicable)
∙ your text message

The same applies if you call us and wish us to process your request. The legal basis for this data processing is art. 6 sec. 1 lit. b) DS-GVO.

3. Cookies

Our websites use cookies. "Cookies" are small text files that are stored on your data carrier and exchange certain settings and data with our system via your browser. A cookie usually contains the name of the domain from which the cookie data was sent, information about the age of the cookie and an alphanumeric identifier.

Cookies enable us to make the website appealing to you and make it easier for you to use by, for example, saving certain entries you make so that you do not have to keep repeating them. 

We use so-called session cookies: Session cookies are deleted after you close your browser. When you log into a protected area on our website, a session cookie is set.

We do not use the information stored in the cookies to identify you. It will also not be merged with other personal data that we have stored about you.

If you do not wish cookies to be used, you can set your browser not to accept the storage of cookies. Please note that in this case you may only be able to use our website to a limited extent or not at all.

If third-party content is integrated, it is possible that additional cookies (in particular so-called long-term cookies, i.e. cookies that remain on your computer's hard drive for a certain period of time) may be set. If you only want to accept our cookies, but not the cookies of third parties, you can select the settings in your browser "Block third-party cookies".

4. Use of Google Maps

Google Maps API, a map service provided by Google Inc ("Google"), is integrated in our website to display an interactive map. By using Google Maps, information about your use of this website (including your IP address) may be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. 

It is technically possible for Google to identify at least individual users on the basis of the data received. In addition, it is possible that personal data and personality profiles of users of the website could be processed by Google for other purposes over which we have and can have no influence.

You have the option of deactivating the Google Maps service in a simple manner and, thus, preventing the transfer of data to Google: To do so, deactivate JavaScript in your browser. However, we would like to point out that in this case you will not be able to use the map display.

5. Integration of YouTube content

Content from the third-party provider YouTube is embedded on our website. By default, only deactivated images of the YouTube channel are embedded, which do not establish an automated connection with the YouTube servers. This means that the operator does not receive any data from the user when the websites are called up.

You can decide for yourself whether the YouTube videos should be activated. Only when you start playing the videos by clicking on the "Play" button you give your consent for the necessary data (including the Internet address of the current page and the user's IP address) to be transmitted to the operator.

In order to save the setting requested by the user, we set a cookie. When setting these cookies, however, we do not store any personal data; they only contain anonymised data for browser customisation. The videos are then active and can be played by the user. If you would like to deactivate the automatic loading of YouTube videos again, you can remove the checkmark for consent under the data protection icon.  This will also update the cookie settings.

By using YouTube, information about your use of this website (including your IP address) may be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

6. When do we pass on data to third parties?

Your personal data will only be transferred to third parties for purposes other than those listed here if you expressly consent or if we are obliged to do so by law or by an official or court order.

Pursuant to art. 28 DS-GVO, all processors are obliged by contractual provisions to ensure the protection of your personal data by means of technical and organisational measures.

7. Where are my data stored?

Your personal data is processed by us exclusively in data centres in Germany. 

8. For how long are my data stored?

Personal data will be deleted when it is no longer required for the purposes described in this statement unless legal regulations require longer storage.

9. What rights do I have with regard to the processing of my data?

You and all other persons who may be affected by the use of data by us have a right to information about the personal data stored by us and, if the respective legal requirements are met, a right to confirmation, correction, deletion or restriction of processing. 

You and the other data subjects also have the right to receive the personal data relating to you in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format. This includes the right to transmit this data to another controller. Where technically feasible, you and the other data subjects may also request that we transfer the personal data directly to the other controller as of the aforementioned date. 

In order to exercise the rights referred to in this clause, as well as in case of questions and complaints about the use of your personal data, you and the other data subjects may at any time contact our data protection officer in confidence through the notary's office.
